If you like to ride an Icelandic horse, there are several opportunities both in the archipelago and along the coast. On Äpplarö between Ljusterö and Ingmarsö you can go horse riding in archipelagic environs where the routes partly follow the coast line. Take the Waxholm ferry from Stockholm or Vaxholm, or a passboat from Åsättra on Ljusterö. It is also possible to arrange transportation outside the scheduled timetable. There are also accommodation services for those who wish to stay for a little longer.

In beautiful natural environs at Sjökarby, north of Åkersberga, you can ride in varying cultural landscape and in the forests. There are a couple of horse stables to choose from, and which can be reached by car or bus.

Find more information about riding stables arranging cross-country riding under Entrepreneurs-Hourse riding.
